Dips and Cul-de-sacs of being creative

Seth Godin has an interesting new mini-book coming out entitled "The Dip". It explores the idea of failing, sticking and how it can benefit us as creative people. He looks at how we create a status quo that makes failure almost impossible and, therefore, makes creativity stale. You can't fail in your short film if you don't aim to make the next Academy Award winning short film.

Todd Henry of the Accidental Creative has a terrific interview with Godin on his podcast.

"Either write 'I am average' or 'I am exceptional' and post it next to your computer. If you wrote 'exceptional' then how dare you create average material." - Seth Godin
